Contemporary Hideaway
Barrengarry
The location of this property is privately hidden away and the owners wished to create a contemporary residence that would be comfortable to live in for all seasons in addition to being suitable for the threat of bushfire and any intrusion of the local wildlife.
The entry to the building is via a hardwood boardwalk from the detached garage, and opens into a living space, flooded with natural light.
One end of the building contains the main bedroom, whilst a separate wing houses the guest bedrooms.
The main living area includes a stone chimney and opens onto a north facing deck.
The materials include vertical grooved cladding, silver top ash and a feature stone wall. The flat roof with extended eave lines is articulated by a butterfly roof over the living area with large velux roof windows.
